About

Adolfo Hernandez Iglesias

I am a mathematician from Mexico and a Master’s student in Mathematics at the University of Padua. I am also part of the MAPPA double-degree programme specialized in probability and analysis between the University of Padua and Université Paris Dauphine–PSL.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM), where I graduated first in my cohort and received the University Merit Medal. During and after my undergraduate studies, I worked in research and university teaching at UAM.

My research experience has focused primarily on probability theory, stochastic processes, probability metrics, and the quantitative approximation of mathematical models. I have worked with Dr. Evgueni Gordienko on problems involving controlled Markov processes and the accuracy of their approximations by deterministic models, resulting in joint publications and an international conference presentation.

Alongside research, I have several years of experience in teaching and tutoring in undergraduate mathematics courses, including calculus, linear algebra, probability, real analysis, and other areas.

My current interests lie mainly in probability theory, stochastic processes, and mathematical analysis. During my graduate studies, I plan to deepen my theoretical background and further develop my research skills in these areas.
